Xanga still exists?

Amazingly my Xanga account hasn't disappeared. Perhaps not having Internet access gave me the illusion that it would. Well, here I am updating it with my iPhone (which has become my sole link to facebook, email, and news).

We managed to make it work today despite the icy roads. Roads I thought would be plowed and salted but apparently the taxes I pay go towards office redecorations at some CEO's office. Damn, Xanga is not iPhone friendly...

It's hard not to recall all the fun times I had with Kris...

I remember meeting him for the first time in gym class back at RMS. I remember thinking, "hmm, another Asian."

I remember going over to the Limgo's for dinner... mmm, shrimp tempura.

I remember us being bored and having a bb gun fight. I got shot in the nose and he got shot in the finger... twice (we were both laughing the whole time... now I realize that was pretty dumb, but fun).

I remember playing Bomberman on the Playstation.

I remember eating breakfast with him at Stoby's. He'd then race all of us to school. Somehow he'd always beat us :P.

I miss him. Why does it have to happen?

"I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can not explain
I know Saint Peter will call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world"

I can't get enough of the new single from Coldplay. It's been on a constant loop while I work for the past few days and it's just... beautifullly uplifting. You can definitely sense Brian Eno's influence (which is cool since I've start listening to some of his ambient work).

Shareholder's meeting coming up in early June... oh snap.

I "volunteered" for a 1 year rotation on the EOC... basically if a hurricane's-a-stormin' or a wildfire's-a-blazin', I have to report and help coordinate relief.

Evaluation? Check. Raise? Check. Bonus? Check. Tax Return? Check. Am I ready for the work week to be over? Check.
